        - The Importance of Tracking your Restaurant Marketing Efforts


Executing marketing campaigns without looking at the results of previously tracked campaign's, is like firing a gun into the dark!  The chances of hitting the target are slim to none.

This has often been the case with traditional marketing such as print advertising.  It's difficult to know whether the time and money you've put into designing, printing and distributing last month's flyers/menus has actually contributed to an increase in orders.

But now the digital world has made it possible to easily track the effects of your marketing!  For example, if you had a website offering online ordering and ran an email campaign, you'd be able to see who's received, opened and ordered from your website as a result of that campaign.

Here are a few more reasons why tracking your marketing is so important:

o  Increased Engagement – You're able to track whether your call to action is working and if it's not, digital marketing allows greater flexibility to update, tweak and in the case of online advertising, even edit after the ad is published! 

o  Target Campaigns – Tracking allows you to target campaigns to certain dates, times and customers, based on information from previous campaigns, so you'll get an ever better result next time.

o Saving Money – Digital marketing is not only cheaper because you remove all overheads such as printing costs, but you can review the results and update your budget as you go.

When it comes to your marketing, don't just spend for the sake of spending.
